Humanitarian aid for Israel

RT Greece took the initiative to organise the 2^nd Medical Blog meeting in Athens from 1^st until 3^rd September 2006 in order to coordinate the “Humanitarian Relief to Middle East”. The following participated to the meeting:

During the meeting Dr Meroan Salloum presented the medical rescue work performed in India and Sri Lanka and it was decided that he will be responsible for organising a hands on medical or psychological support team for Israel and/or Lebanon (if required).

Furthermore during the meeting it was decided to launch a Round Table International joint service project to be supervised by RT Greece’s National President Nikos Karalekas. The project will consist of two sub-projects:

1)       Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon facilitated by Ziad Yamak (Project Manager Lebanon, RT Greece)

2)       Humanitarian Aid to Israel facilitated by Kosmas Pentakalos (Past President RT Greece)

 Please find the signed document approving the overall humanitarian relief project to Israel & Lebanon as well as the first issue of the individual sub project descriptions. The overall project is endorsed by RT Greece, LC Greece, RT Israel, LC Israel, Club 41 Israel, OT 250 Germany (in formation) and Club 41 Wiener Neustadt Austria.
